This three-year contract includes the operation, and maintenance of four moveable bridges in Sarasota County. Responsibilities include bridge tending and operation, preventive maintenance, periodic repair, and emergency and malfunction incident response.

Three of the bridges are double-leaf bascules built in the 1960s and the fourth—the Blackburn Point Swing Bridge—is a very unique and historic one-lane swing bridge built in 1925 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This bridge is one of only three operational swing bridges left in Florida and has the highest number of openings than any other county bridge. All of these bridges are county owned and serve East/West routes to the Sarasota beaches. This project was renewed in January 2008 and again in January 2009. ICA won the 2011 contract reprocurement for three years.

This project was renewed in January, 2008 and again in January 2009 for an additional year.
