ICA began maintaining over 68 center-line miles of Interstate 64 along with two rest areas and 116 structures between Richmond and Norfolk in August of 2005. The project traverses two VDOT districts and includes all routine maintenance associated with roadway and rest area facility assets. The three-year contract is all encompassing from litter and guardrail repair to emergency/incident response, snow removal and total rest area maintenance.

This section of I-64 carries heavy tourist traffic heading to Virginia Beach, the Outer Banks and Historic Williamsburg making the aesthetics, mowing, and litter pickup a top maintenance priority.

This contract was renewed 8/1/08 for an additional three-year term. In 2011 ICA won the re-procured contract for an addtional five years.
