This seven-year contract is for the management of highway assets on all of the limited access facilities in Dade County including I-95, I-195, I-395, and state roads 826 and 970 in Miami Dade County. Responsibilities include all activities associated with roadway, structures, drainage, vegetation and aesthetics, traffic services, structure inspection and incident management. The project covers 49 center line miles and 207 fixed structures.
I-95 is the major North/South roadway for visitors and locals traveling between Miami, Ft. Lauderdale and the Florida Keys. It includes access to the University of Miami and the Miami beaches—including famous South Beach—via the I-95 and I-395 East/West connectors. These extremely high profile corridors support beach access for the jet-set, awards events, film and television production, and the steady stream of students on Spring break, cruise passengers and South American tourists.
